Yes, I called it experience because I believe when you are eating out, it is not only about food and how good or bad it is. From the moment you enter a restaurant till when you leave, every single element is influential and important. The way you have been treated during the whole time plus the food and atmosphere will leave you with an experience and a feeling or what I would call; a memory. If that memory or feeling is good and positive, you would want to go back there eagerly and you would talk about it positively. Whereas if the memory is not so good, then not only you would never go back to the place, you would also try to warn others and stop them to go there too. That is why I think it is important to acknowledge a good or bad services and places, you would want others to know what they are going to experience or at least what they can expect to experience.
Couple of weeks ago we went to Wagamama (Silverburn, Glasgow) for our dinner and I am going to share my experience with you here.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and seated when we wanted to. The staff were so professional and polite. They let us have enough time to decide what we wanted and we did not feel rushed to a decision.
As we asked them couple of questions and wanted to know more about the items on the menu, I was totally impressed by their knowledge of the menu. They were very friendly and explained everything perfectly.
The place was really tidy and neat. The cutlery, the table, everything was spotless.
We ordered raw juice and positive juice for our drinks, and they were truly fresh and tasty.
The food itself was really tasty and fresh. Good quality food that you won’t feel guilty after having them. The presentation and the portion sizes were also perfect.
In general, the whole atmosphere was great and therefore it left a very good and positive memory and feeling. I was so impressed that I thought it needs to be acknowledged and I am going to write a blog about it. we definitely will go back there and will advise our friends to do also. 😊
What we had for dinner:
- Seasoned crispy chicken steamed bun
Two small, fluffy asian buns stuffed with tori kara age and fresh tomato, served with japanese mayonnaise and coriander.
- Rib Ramen
Tender beef short rib served on the bone on top of noodles in a light chicken broth. finished with a splash of chilli oil, carrots, mangetout, red onion, sweet potato and pea shoots.
- Seafood Ramen
Sea bream, grilled tiger prawns and breaded tilapia on top of noodles in a light vegetable broth, garnished with pea shoots, wakame and samphire.
- Raw Juice
Carrot, cucumber, tomato, orange and apple
- Positive Juice
Pineapple, lime, spinach, cucumber and apple
In conclusion, the whole experience was a great one. This is now added to the list of our favourite places to go and eat.
