Eating is one of the pleasures of life and being a foodie myself, I enjoy trying new recipes all the time. There are tons of cookbooks out there and finding the one that does have it all and thick all the boxes can be difficult. I certainly have experienced buying some cookbooks and never using any of the recipes because they were either very complicated or required loads of ingredients and were very time consuming.
Nowadays people are living in a fast-paced world that time is of the essence, therefore it is very easy to fall in the trap of ready meals and take aways, which usually are not the healthiest options. In my opinion the best cookbook for this era should consider these 3 important elements in its recipes:
- Being quick and simple (easy to follow)
- Does not require loads of ingredients (less expenses and also less waste)
- Helps & encourages the balance and healthy diet
The book I am going to introduce here is honestly one of the rare gems in the world of cookbooks and I have enjoyed cooking using its recipes a lot. This book certainly thick the 3 elements I have mentioned above and so more. The book is Jamie Oliver’s 5 Ingredients Quick & Easy Food.
The recipes are great, tasty and only requires 5 ingredients as the title indicates. Having the pictures of all ingredients for each recipe is visually appealing and also helps a lot in finding what recipes you can use based on what you have available. It makes the process so easy and fun. The recipes are encouraging a balanced diet and give all the nutrition details of the meal.
